Fuga Cloud comes of age and continues as Cyso Cloud
As of Januari 1, 2025, Cyso will take over the activities of Fuga Cloud. Both organisations are part of the Cyso Group and are therefore no strangers to each other. This move adds Fuga Cloud as a mature service to Cyso's portfolio. In line with this development, the name Fuga Cloud will change to Cyso Cloud.
“With this acquisition, Cyso is even more focused on the future, as it now has cloud technologies in-house that assist with migrations and implementing alternatives to VMware, for example.” says CTO Tjebbe de Winter.
Fuga Cloud, established in 2016, has evolved into a leading OpenStack-based cloud platform. It offers a wide range of services, including virtual machines, object storage, and a managed Kubernetes solution. Recently, new, very competitively priced ‘flavours’ (VM configurations) were added, which will be maintained under Cyso.
As Cyso Cloud, work will continue on innovative features such as Database as a Service (DBaaS) and Backup as a Service (BaaS). The popular managed Kubernetes solution will, of course, remain available.
Fuga Cloud has come a long way over the past eight years. It’s fantastic to see that this investment has ultimately led to a stable and fast cloud platform.
