How Anycast DNS works
Traditional DNS uses a single server, which means your domain becomes slow or unreachable if it’s unavailable or geographically distant. Anycast DNS replicates your records across multiple locations, either European nodes only or 40+ locations worldwide, automatically routing each query to the nearest available server.
If any location fails, DNS traffic reroutes instantly to the next nearest server, keeping your domain resolvable 24/7 regardless of localised outages or attacks. This architecture inherently distributes DDoS traffic across the network rather than overwhelming a single point, whilst maintaining European jurisdiction and GDPR-compliant operations.
